Position Overview
The Housing Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the housing program within LFN, ensuring compliance with the LFN Housing Policy and effectively managing all related operations. The successful candidate will coordinate budgets, manage construction projects, and maintain occupancy standards while actively participating in community engagement efforts.
The Housing Manager will collaborate closely with the Capital Manager and report directly to the Administrator, contributing to the overall strategic goals of the housing department.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of educational qualifications and practical experience that aligns with the demands of this role. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, project management, or equivalent experience in a First Nation community.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
A police record check is required, along with a valid BC Driver’s license and driver abstract. The candidate should be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive community atmosphere.
